Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She is the owner and president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and grew up part of a rich family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. Their relationship ended in 1972 which made her feel that she was emotionally neglected. In the year 19 she was appointed the General Manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers, she served as president of Great Western Forum. Buss was the father of her deceased father in 2013 and the Lakers were acquired by Buss and her five siblings through an inheritance trust. Each sibling had the same number of votes. She took on the role of the president for Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
